How much does real estate photography cost in Melbourne?

Melbourne Property Photography offers competitively priced options for apartments, houses, rental properties, commercial properties, and premium sales campaigns.

View our Real Estate Photography Melbourne Pricing page for current packages and inclusions.

What is included in a real estate photography package?

Our photography packages can include professionally photographed and edited interior and exterior images, suitable for online property listings, agency websites, print advertising and social media.

Depending on the selected package, optional services can include floor plans, drone photography, property videos, social-media reels, 3D virtual tours and digital home styling.

How many photographs will I receive?

The number of finished photographs depends on the property’s size, layout and selected package. A small apartment usually requires fewer images than a large family home, acreage property or commercial building.

We photograph the important rooms, exterior areas and property features needed to create a complete and appealing listing.

Do you photograph properties for sale and rent?

Yes. Melbourne Property Photography provides professional photography for residential sales, rental listings, Airbnb properties, commercial properties, developments and long-term marketing.

Each shoot is approached according to the property, audience and intended advertising campaign.

Which areas of Melbourne do you service?

We provide real estate photography throughout metropolitan Melbourne, including Melbourne’s northern, north-western, western, eastern, south-eastern and bayside suburbs.

We can also attend properties in regional Victoria. A travel charge may apply depending on the location. You can view the areas we cover on our Service-Areas-Melbourne & Victoria page.

How quickly will my photographs be delivered?

Most standard real estate photography is delivered promptly following the appointment. Exact turnaround times depend on the selected service, the size of the property and the amount of editing required.

Please advise us when booking if your listing has an urgent advertising deadline.

Are the photographs professionally edited?

Yes. Every selected photograph is professionally edited to improve lighting, colour, clarity, perspective and overall presentation while maintaining a realistic representation of the property.

Our goal is to make the property look its best without creating misleading or unnatural images.

Do you photograph vacant and occupied properties?

Yes. We photograph both vacant and occupied properties.

Occupied properties should be cleaned, decluttered, and prepared before the photographer arrives. Vacant properties can also be enhanced with digital home styling to help buyers or renters visualise how the rooms could be furnished.

How should I prepare my property for photography?

The property should be clean, tidy and free from unnecessary clutter. Open curtains and blinds, remove personal items, clear kitchen and bathroom surfaces, make beds and tidy outdoor areas.

Vehicles, rubbish bins, garden tools and other distractions should be moved away from the front of the property where possible. Please view our

Preparing Your Home for Real Estate Photography in Melbourne page for an easy-to-follow guide.

How long does a real estate photography appointment take?

A standard residential photography appointment generally takes between 45 and 90 minutes. Larger homes, commercial properties and appointments involving floor plans, drone photography, video, or 3D tours may require additional time.

The property should be fully prepared before the scheduled appointment.

Can you photograph the exterior and surrounding amenities?

Yes. Exterior photographs can include the façade, gardens, entertaining areas, balconies, views, pools and other important property features.

Local amenities such as parks, shopping precincts, schools and transport connections can also be photographed when requested and suitable.

Do you provide professional floor plans?

Yes. We create clear, professionally presented floor plans to help potential buyers and renters understand the property’s layout, room relationships and overall flow both in 2D and 3D Interactive.

Floor plans can be ordered with photography or as part of a complete property-marketing package.

Do you provide drone and aerial photography?

Yes. Melbourne Property Photography provides professional drone photography for residential, commercial, development and acreage properties.

Drone images can highlight land size, rooflines, surrounding amenities, nearby transport, parks and the property’s position within the local area. All flights remain subject to weather, location and aviation safety requirements.

Are you qualified to operate a drone?

Yes. Our drone operations are conducted by an experienced CASA-approved drone operator and are planned with safety and Australian aviation requirements in mind.

Some locations may be subject to flight restrictions or require additional planning before aerial photography can proceed.

Do you create property videos and social-media reels?

Yes. We produce professional property videos and Full HD vertical reels suitable for websites, Instagram, Facebook and other digital marketing platforms.

Video helps show the flow, atmosphere and important features of a property while providing agents with engaging content for social media.

Do you offer 3D virtual property tours?

Yes. We provide immersive 3D virtual tours that allow prospective buyers and renters to explore a property online from almost anywhere.

Virtual tours are particularly valuable for interstate buyers, relocation clients, rental properties, commercial spaces and properties where online inspection is important.

What is digital home styling?

Digital home styling, also called virtual staging, adds realistic furniture and décor to photographs of vacant or sparsely furnished rooms.

It is a cost-effective way to demonstrate a room’s size, function and potential without physically hiring and installing furniture.

Can you digitally remove unwanted objects?

Minor distractions or blemishes may be removable through professional image editing. More extensive decluttering, object removal or image alteration may attract an additional editing charge.

Requests should be discussed before or immediately after the photography appointment so we can confirm what is practical and appropriate.

Can you create twilight images?

Yes. Twilight photography can create striking hero images by combining attractive exterior lighting with the colour and atmosphere of the evening sky.

Day-to-dusk image conversion may also be available when a physical twilight appointment is not practical.

What happens if it rains on the day of the shoot?

Light cloud or overcast weather does not always prevent photography, and exterior skies can often be professionally enhanced during editing.

Heavy rain, strong winds or unsafe conditions may require exterior or drone photography to be postponed. We will discuss the most suitable option if weather affects the appointment.

Can you photograph apartments and building facilities?

Yes. Apartment photography can include the residence, balcony, outlook, building exterior and approved common facilities such as foyers, gardens, rooftop areas, gyms and swimming pools.

Access to common areas should be arranged with the building manager or owners corporation before the appointment.

Can tenants be present during the photography?

Yes, although the appointment generally runs more efficiently when the property is fully prepared and unnecessary occupants are not present.

The property manager or owner is responsible for arranging lawful access, providing any required notice and obtaining appropriate permission before photography occurs.

Are your images suitable for realestate.com.au and Domain?

Yes. Finished images are supplied in professional formats suitable for major Australian property portals, including realestate.com.au and Domain, as well as agency websites and social-media platforms.

Print-resolution files can also be supplied when required.

Can I reuse the photographs for another advertising campaign?

Photography is supplied subject to Melbourne Property Photography’s licensing terms. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the images are licensed for the commissioned property-marketing campaign and are not automatically available for unrestricted reuse, transfer or use by another agency.

Please contact us if you require a renewed, extended or additional image licence.

Who owns the copyright in the photographs?

Copyright remains with Melbourne Property Photography unless it has been formally assigned in writing. The client receives permission to use the images according to the agreed licence and terms of service.

Images must not be sold, transferred, substantially altered or provided to another party outside the agreed licence without written permission.

Why should I hire a professional real estate photographer?

Professional photography helps a property create a stronger first impression, attract online attention and present its important features clearly.

An experienced real estate photographer understands lighting, composition, perspective and spatial accuracy, producing consistent images designed specifically for property marketing.
